Ancient Dong Giao belonged to Mao Dien, Cam Giang district, Thuong Hong government, Hai Dong town of Le dynasty. The village has three villages: Chay, Dong Tien and So. In 1948, Dong Giao merged with neighboring villages to form Luong Dien commune. The village has a large communal house built in 1739 in the Vinh Huu dynasty of the Le dynasty. In 1993, in Dong Giao, the first commercial service establishment of Mr. Vu Xuan Cuu's family was established. Although "thousands of beginnings are difficult", it paved the way for the new development of Dong Giao. For the domestic market, Dong Giao's products are consumed in all 3 regions. The northern market in the past seemed to be unable to adapt to this product, but now due to the needs of life, Dong Giao products have affirmed themselves right in their homeland.

Today, in Dong Giao carpentry village, many machines have been put into production, speeding up the manufacturing process. However, even if the machine can produce sophisticated patterns, it still needs human hands to breathe life into the work... With the passion and constant creativity of the artisans here, carpentry work. Dong Giao is developing more and more, many unique and famous works are born. Dong Giao carpentry village is creating a firm foothold on the map of domestic and regional craft villages.
